                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER
                   INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
                   THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
                   RELATIVE TO PROVIDING FOR MANAGEMENT,
                   FUNDING AND RELATED MATTERS OF THE OLD
                   HIXSON PIKE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT OVER
                   CHICKAMAUGA CREEK, FOR A CONSIDERATION OF
                   TWENTY PERCENT (20%) OF THE ACTUAL COST FOR
                   PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING, RIGHT-OF-WAY AND
                   CONSTRUCTION NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-FOUR
                   THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($74,000.00).

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to enter into and execute an Agreement with the Tennessee
       Department of Transportation, relative to providing for
       management, funding and related matters of the Old Hixson Pike
       Bridge replacement over Chickamauga Creek, for a consideration of 

       twenty percent (20%) of the actual cost for preliminary
       engineering, right-of-way and construction not to exceed
       Seventy-four Thousand Dollars ($74,000.00).  The local funds come 

       from the Public Works Capital Fund/Bridges Project.
